I'm laaate to comment, but: as a Czech, I feel very iffy about that river handwaving, because almost exclusively, rivers flow FROM Czechia, not TO it. You might think what with Alps being taller, some of that water would go here, but nope, it goes elsewhere. And we lie on three of the main European drainage divides, which naturally means rivers START here. Sorry.
