There was an article in the New York Times just yesterday about the SEAL who wrote the book on the bin Laden raid, and one of the quotes was from a critic who stated that such a book likely would never have been written by a Green Beret or a Ranger. Evidently the infantry culture, unlike the Navy, really frowns on boasting about one's accomplishments, especially in combat; you just go in and do your job, with no publicity and no fuss.

Sounds like Steve blowing off Sen. Brandt over the medal ceremony, no?
